suicide part II

what could i possibly write or blog again about this subject?well this for ones who are wondering how do i spot someone who is about to or in the process of committing suicide.

there are several signs but some don't shows signs while others do.depression and other disorders are sometimes very obvious while some are not.

so i got some help from some sites i would like to share with you-the following is from:

http://my.clevelandclinic.org/disorders/suicide/hic_recognizing_suicidal_behavior.aspx

Suicide is not a mental illness in itself, but a serious potential consequence of many mental disorders, particularly major depression.

Who is most likely to commit suicide?
Suicide rates are highest in teens, young adults, and the elderly. People over the age of 65 have the highest rate of suicide. Although women are more likely to attempt suicide, men are more likely to be successful. Suicide risk also is higher in the following groups:

•Older people who have lost a spouse through death or divorce
•People who have attempted suicide in the past
•People with a family history of suicide
•People with a friend or co-worker who committed suicide
•People with a history of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
•People who are unmarried, unskilled, or unemployed
•People with long-term pain, or a disabling or terminal illness
•People who are prone to violent or impulsive behavior
•People who have recently been released from a psychiatric hospitalization (This often is a very frightening period of transition.)
•People in certain professions, such as police officers and health care providers who work with terminally ill patients
•People with substance abuse problems

What are the warning signs for suicide?
Following are some of the possible warning signs that a person may be at risk for suicide:

•Excessive sadness or moodiness — Long-lasting sadness and mood swings can be symptoms of depression, a major risk factor for suicide.
•Sudden calmness — Suddenly becoming calm after a period of depression or moodiness can be a sign that the person has made a decision to end his or her life.
•Withdrawal — Choosing to be alone and avoiding friends or social activities also are possible symptoms of depression. This includes the loss of interest or pleasure in activities the person previously enjoyed.
•Changes in personality and/or appearance — A person who is considering suicide might exhibit a change in attitude or behavior, such as speaking or moving with unusual speed or slowness. In addition, the person might suddenly become less concerned about his or her personal appearance.
•Dangerous or self-harmful behavior — Potentially dangerous behavior, such as reckless driving, engaging in unsafe sex, and increased use of drugs and/or alcohol might indicate that the person no longer values his or her life.
•Recent trauma or life crisis — A major life crises might trigger a suicide attempt. Crises include the death of a loved one or pet, divorce or break-up of a relationship, diagnosis of a major illness, loss of a job, or serious financial problems.
•Making preparations — Often, a person considering suicide will begin to put his or her personal business in order. This might include visiting friends and family members, giving away personal possessions, making a will, and cleaning up his or her room or home. Some people will write a note before committing suicide.
•Threatening suicide — Not everyone who is considering suicide will say so, and not everyone who threatens suicide will follow through with it. However, every threat of suicide should be taken seriously.

Can suicide be prevented?
In many cases, suicide can be prevented. Research suggests that the best way to prevent suicide is to know the risk factors, be alert to the signs of depression and other mental disorders, recognize the warning signs for suicide, and intervene before the person can complete the process of self-destruction.

People who receive support from caring friends and family, and who have access to mental health services are less likely to act on their suicidal impulses than are those who are isolated from sources of care and support. If someone you know is exhibiting warning signs for suicide, don’t be afraid to ask if he or she is depressed or thinking about suicide. In some cases, the person just needs to know that someone cares and is looking for the chance to talk about his or her feelings. You can then encourage the person to seek professional help.

What should I do if someone I know is talking about committing suicide?
If someone you know is threatening suicide, take the threat seriously.

•Do not leave the person alone. If possible, ask for help from friends or other family members.
•Ask the person to give you any weapons he or she might have. Take away sharp objects or anything else that the person could use to hurt himself or herself.
•Try to keep the person as calm as possible.
•Call 911 or take the person to an emergency room.

objects including forks, medication, alcohol, recreational drugs or over the counter drugs, take away their car keys, rope, shoe string, anything with a electric cord attached to it,bed sheet which can be a substitute for a rope, anything in the house that can used as a weapon.I have known someone dropping a plugged in electrical instrument in to the bath they was taken and dropped it in with them.I have seen someone hang them self with a sheet from a bed.we won't get into everything i have tried.besides overdose of pills-i have taken a truck i was driving and going as fast as i could toward a tree(i did not see the dead tree that was laying on the ground and covered with grass that i hit instead and it changed my direction into a a bunch of dead shrubs)so not everything works out as plan.

now my mission is to prevent others from going through what i have gone through in my life.I am trying to let people there are other options,i know when you are deep in thoughts of suicide its not easy to bring yourself out it-by this time your mind has been made up.

Top 10 Warning Signs of Suicidal Behavior

Suicide is one of the problems that are occurring in the world today. When one decides to commit suicide, they have decided that it is better to take their own life instead of to continue living. Before someone gets to this extent, you can look for warning signs of suicidal behavior. Here are ten classic warning signs to look for if you think that someone is going to commit suicide. If you see any of these signs, it is important to also talk to the person and find the right help before they carry through with killing themselves.

1. Depression. Before someone decides to commit suicide, they will usually be feeling several different emotions. These will include things like sadness, hopelessness, and anxiety. Depression will most often include a loss of interest in life and the things that are happening around someone. Major depression, when caught on time, can be treated through medication and therapy.

2. Talking about dying. Often times, those who are considering suicide will be thinking about different ways which they can kill themselves. They will move into telling one different ways in which they can die. They may also be thinking of ways in which someone else killed themselves.

3. Sleep patterns. Those who are depressed and considering suicide may change their sleeping habits. This can range from them sleeping too much to not sleeping at all and being restless all of the time. Often times, one will move from a regular schedule to being hyperactive. They then may move into periods of sleeping for long periods of time.

4. Concentration. A loss in concentration at work or in school as well as in extra-curricular activities may also occur. If you notice that someone is not putting as much effort into different areas of life as usual, then it can be a sign that they are depressed.

5. Eating habits. Many times, those who are considering suicide will have a loss in appetite. If you aren’t monitoring this part, be aware of sudden weight loss that may occur. At the same time, there may be some who will overeat as a result.

6. Low self-esteem. This is one of the major factors that play a part in one wanting to commit suicide. This will include feeling worthless and guilty. Hatred may also be a part of this, as they will seem to not like anyone.

7. Lack of goals. Those who are complicating suicide will have a disinterest in the idea of the future and different goals that they want to reach. They will also seem to not care about the present actions that are happening around them in relation to the future.

8. Making arrangements. This may include several different things. Arranging for someone to take care of their animals or things is one sign of someone thinking about committing suicide. They may also begin giving away the things that seem to be important to them. Several will make out wills as well in order to make sure that things are taken care of after they are gone.

9. Loss of control. This may include harming others, as well as harm towards them. This loss of control may also include outbursts of anger or sadness that happen without warning.

10. History. It is also important to look at the events that are surrounding one’s life in relation to them wanting to commit suicide. This may include the loss of someone who they loved. It may also include a lost job, relationship, money, friends or religion. These losses and agitations are one thing to look for in relation to suicide. If they willingly stop attending things as well, it may be a sign that they are losing their interest in life.

By looking for the signs, you can help someone to not commit suicide. As soon as you think they have suicidal tendencies, it is important to find them help. By doing this, you will be giving them a chance to find their goals again and begin moving forward. The most common way to recognize suicidal tendencies is through a change in mood, such as depressive qualities. However, there are also several other signs that one is suicidal. If you recognize any of these, it is best to approach someone about what they are thinking and try to redirect them towards a better life.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and also remember some people don't show signs whatsoever-they don't want to attention drawn to them so that way nobody will try to stop them.
also if someone that lives alone you will never know cause there is no one who can see the symptoms to help them.

my story(suicidal idealism)

back in may of 2010 i made an attempt on my life-I took 90 pills of quetiapine fumarate (seroquel)each pill was 100mg a piece.90 times 100mg equals 9000mg total.my intent was to end my life.alot of people don't understand why i did it and what purpose it served.back on July 15,1984 I flipped a gamma goat while i was stationed in west Germany(well it was back then)and rolled it back it on its wheel-i remember hitting the top of my head hard on the ground.I walked out of the accident with some bruises and a huge lump on the front of my knee.since i was not bleeding and was conscious i was not taken to the hospital and not knowing that the hit on my head since it was not seen was not a worry to anyone.after several months to a year i started having real bad pains i was experiencing blank spots in my memory and since i went to the doctor nothing could ever be found.2 years later i started experiencing extreme to severe depression-which of course was a big no no in the military so i hid it for a a few more years.by 1989 it was so bad i was hospitalized in a civilian psych ward then transfer to fort hood,Texas and i spend 6 months on the top floor of the hospital.I did not want out of the service for i have had 10 years in service at that time-the doctor inform me if i stayed he thought i would not lived to see the next 10 years.so winter of 1989 i was given a 50 percent disabled retirement.(which later the VETERANS ADMINSTRATION WOULD EVENTUALLY RATE ME AT 100 PERCENT PERMANENT DISABLED.)FROM 1989 i have suffered from severe depression which they gave it another name i cannot recall-for they say depression in it self is curable with meds and treatment-neither has worked for me thus far.I have attempted suicide so many times in the last 21 years i lost count-I am not bragging i am trying to make a point.i have also been diagnose with borderline bipolar disorder dual personalities disorder, anxiety disorder, and so many other things.but in life i have noticed people who attempted suicide-1)people will say ooh they just looking for attention,2)people start acting differently around you,3)they stop interacting or even talking to you,4)they are just crazy,5)you in the end end up totally alone.

first of all you know someone who is thinking about it and has they need your help and they need to be rush to hospital asap-don't hesitate to call 911.
not everyone that attempts suicide have any desire to live.believe me every time i attempted it was to die.that was and is what is always on my mind.you asked how am i still alive-because people either has found me and gotten me to a hospital-i have gone deep in the woods where no one ever goes and still was found.the only thing I can think of is Jesus send someone to me.I don't care for sympathy nor do i want anyone to feel sorry for me.i am by no means that bad-for i know there is alot of people who are worst then i.why do i do it-living with depression on a daily basis-7 days a week 24 hours a day is hard and you get tired of being depressed.no breaks from it and you want to know what i do-no i don't stay in the house 24/7 and the dark and gloom-i work in my yard almost everyday,i read books,i watch movies,i get out of the house and go shopping, sometimes i go for just a ride.I listen to music basically all the time, see a therapist, take my meds and try to stay active.but regardless its still there-i want to get my story out cause i know there are people out there with the same condition as i have or some that are worse than i have.there is help for us and maybe there is someone you know who suffers from theses problems.its not easy we struggle on a daily basis others worse than others.we need someone to talk to someone to understand, someone to just be there,or someone to not turn their back on us when we have a episode or attempt suicide.

here is some numbers that has helped me in the past and there are many others in your local areas.

racism

I think here it is 2009 and racism is still a common place in this world.you would think that after all theses decades that we would of put away that kind of of hatred.you would thing that people that claimed to be Christians,Muslims, catholics, and other religions and how they teach to love one another and hate no one.but still people are racist against, black, whites,Asians,Europeans, middle Easterners,Russians, and if that is not enough then they are against Jews,Muslims, catholics, protestants are against one another and other religions as well.I can't believe the hate in this world and it has only gotten worse.I don't understand the logic of alot of people.its not just the common man,its has reached into the churches, among the leaders there, the police officers, the mayors, the goverment, all the way up to some past presidents.I believe we are in the right direction with having our first african american president,to me that is a start. if only we can get the people down here on the streets to stop the hate and start to love one another or at least live in harmony.maybe i am expecting to much but i don't believe all things are impossible-just some more time and the right people in the forefront.i kust keep praying for harmony and peace, and maybe yet we will achieve this.

president Barack Obama

I can't believe how people can be so stupid as to threaten our president.hate him or love him he is our president.you need to pray for him and ask Jesus to guide his life and that he will do the right thing.already in the short time he has been in office they are condemning him and saying he is selling us short.I don't know all the ends and out of politics but i know you do favors for favors etc etc. our system is not perfect nor is the people who runs this country.remember they are men and women like you and I and they do make mistakes.but to threaten them any of them is wrong.one thing writing a letter and saying you don't like what he is doing or maybe proposing a different way is OK.but to out right threaten him is wrong very wrong.I don't expect him to perform miracles but for him to do his job the best of his ability.people forget that he has to go through senators, congress and the house.so before you get mad at him or think he is not doing a good job look at your state elected representatives.they can help him or hinder him-they will do what they think is best for your state.(well i know u r laughing at this)but that is what they are suppose to be doing.I will continue to pray for our president as well as the other chosen leaders and pray that GOD will direct them in the days ahead.I am not a big Obama follower but i will support him as long as he hold the office of president and for you people who don't like him go to the polls in 4 years and vote for who u want, you have a choice so make it and vote.myself i think he is trying to do to many things at one time and i think that is what hurting him,but if he keeps up what he is doing and keeps doing what he says he will do,he will have my vote this next time.but i have 4 years to decide and he has 4 years to be president. let the man do his job, stop with the threats already and give him a chance.you cannot judge his actions just by a few months in office.forget the color of his skin, forget his religious preferences, forget about his background or his parents, judge the man's action not the man.for he is a man and he is human and yes he will make mistakes for we all do.just pray for him.

happy new year

well its time to reflect over the past year and look at the things we did wrong or what we accomplished or etcetera.this past year we experienced a hurricane which really did no damage to us here on the Mississippi coast(speaking for myself only)but Louisiana which is still crippled from Katrina got hit twice along with Texas and several other states.we also elected in a new president Barack Obama,we also see where a lot of people lost a lot of money in the market-and we saw a 700 billion dollar bailout and wondering where that money went.most of us received a small check from the government to help boost the economy-we lost some celebrity along the way to death, and some new ones were made and more reality shows were aired on the TV,and the ever repeating doom that televisions that depends on antennas will no longer work after february 2009.where banks are merging and the car companies are in need of money.of course that means if they run out of money that means thousands of people out of jobs and it in the long run will hurt the economy.I imagine before it is over we will have to bail them out.

as for me and my family we have had a good year,we don't dapper in the stock market so we didn't lose no money there(like we have that kind of money)and our overall health is pretty good and like everything and everyone else we have had our ups and downs but we are still here and going strong-i hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful year and may it be prosperious and healthy.

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU- happy new year(2009)

African American

first of all i am sick and tired of all this political correctness garbage.secondly is all of this i am an African American or I am a native american or I am an asian american.if you live in any of the 50 united states you are an american.
only person i know of that can actually call himself an african american is Mr.Barack Obama because is father was African and his mother is American.majority of African American great great great grandparents were from african not them.Yea i know so what do we call them when it comes down to applications?well whoever came up with black is down right colorblind-the color is brown(there is a few exceptions where there is some who are pitch black)how about me-they say i am white-lmao i am not white-i am caucasian.but i can't go around saying i am irish american because my history goes far far back so they consider me just an american.why does some race get to use their heritage and others not? But while i write I keep trying to think of what they can called the African American instead of that.hmmmmm, black man, brown man(the problem with that is that can also mean asians, middle easterners as well)so I reckon we are back to where this begin at.african american i reckon is the only name we can think of or my solution is just learn their name and call them that-like president elect barack obama-we will call him mister or president obama and not by what his race is.the main reason for writing this is simple-first to grab your attention and secondly forget that they are african, asian or native american, get to know there name and that will get rid of all the rest of the confusion.

okay i am off my soapbox for the night.

racist or sexist?

I will admit i didn't vote for Obama/biden or McCain/palin-but i did vote.

I had problems voting for either one cause i kept hearing if u don't vote for my party your are racist or if you don't for my party your are a sexist.i am neither and i have never been one or another.I feel if the person is fit to do the job regardless of their sex, color or religion more power to them.it was hard to follow the election when both parties spend more time attacking the other party for one reason or another.I am sick and tired or the dirt they throw at one another.lets concentrate more on what they are going to do for the country and how they will try to improve the economy and fix what is wrong.instead all you see is ads saying what they are doing wrong.I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY DID 20 YEARS AGO OR EVEN 5 YEARS AGO.i want to know what are they going to be doing the next 4 years as our president.i want to know did they vote for Obama cause they didn't want a female vice president or they really believe he will provide a change for us as a country?I hope it was for the latter.when Mr. Obama won the democratic ticket i already knew he would win.
people are sick and tired of president bush and his policy and knowing Mr.McCain would follow in his footsteps,so Mr.Obama was the obvious choice.

but whoever you voted for i want ya'll to remember to pray for our new leader for his will have 4 years to clean up a mess that took 8 years to make-he has his hands full and it will take more than 1 term to clean it up.he has no easy task ahead of him-love him or hate him he is there for 4 years and as myself i will be praying for him-for he will need alot of strength for being the first black president everything he does or say will be under a microscope-and that is a shame-lets forget about his color and lets look at him as a man who is our president elect and he got there by our votes and he deserves to be there. like i said i did not vote for him but he has my support for the next 4 years as our president. and i will not be watching his every move-that is not my job to judge him or point out his mistakes-(that is God's job)he don't need my help or yours.just pray for him whether you like him or not.and that God will protect him from all the lunatics that should try to get rid of him-

MR.OBAMA I KNOW YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS BLOG BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW I WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO KEEP YOU FROM HARM AND HELP YOU TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS.
REMEMBER WHEN THINGS ARE LOOKING DOWN LOOK UP AND YOU WILL FIND THE HELP YOU NEED IN OUR SAVIOUR.

senseless death of our babies

a man dropped 4 of his kids off the dauphin island bridge in Alabama into the gulf of Mexico-all 4 of his kids were found dead from the coast of Alabama all the way to Louisiana.
he did it after a fight with his wife.

few days later another person did the same up north. every time we open the paper or turn on the news we hear about someone killing their young kids as well as their babies

.what is wrong with theses people?
some plea mentally insane and they get off with a light sentence or in state hospital somewhere.

there need to be something done about this and needs to be done quickly.it is only going to get worse and it needs to be stopped.

but the problem we are facing is how do we stop it?
how do we know what will cause a parent/parents to go off the deep end and dump their kids in the gulf or a river or anywhere for that matter.

can people around them not see theses signs or do they disguise it so well,
or do they just snap from a originally person to someone who had just lost their mind?

how can we prevent this from happening before it happens again and again?
what do we look for?
or how do we spot someone who is on the edge of going over board?

do theses people all of a sudden go from a nice loving person to a child killing maniac?

how can we help theses kids if we don't know what to look for?

maybe the authorities or doctors or someone can tell us what to look for.

what can we do on out part to help?

I guess one day they will figure out what cause someone to snap and how we can spot them before another child is lost.

what next?

after hearing about the fighting among kids and then posting it on you tube.not one on one but a group of kids ganging up against one.it has gotten out of hand and to think our future of this country is in their hands.where was the parents when this was happening?do they no longer care what their children do?of course at writing it has died down and everyone has gone on with their lives like it never happened.are we so numb that after a few days it is old news and no one really cares or have we just got use to the violents and thankful it was not one of us or our kids.its not going to die down in the case of the poor kids who gets ganged up against and the anger it caused the parents.this will keep up until someone say enough!!!!!
parents take responsibilty of your kids and put a stop to it and do it before more get beat up or injured or crippled or dead.this has to stop and it has to start in the home.don't let peer pressue put u as someone who don't want to do this and do it cause u afraid of not being accepted by your peers.stand up and stand out-it has to start with someone so why not you? isn't it time to say enough is enough?or do u care less what is it you next time.what would stop your so call friends to turn against you and do the same? its always not me its always the other person-who do u think the other person is? look in the mirror it could be you next and you will wonder why but it will be to late. before you have to attend a funeral of someone you love or care for or even a sister or a brother or cousin. or even YOU!!!!!!!!!

aftermath of tuesday elections

well obama took mississippi by storm.well is that a good thing or a bad thing.apparently to majority of the people here it is a good thing.rumors are they will join forces anyway(clinton and obama)so it will be them versus mccain.who will win i have no ideal-who do i like well in all honesty neither but apparently i will have to vote for one of them.none of them have impress me and i don't know about their policy to know weather or not they will be good or bad for the country and how much is actually lip service.its a shame we have to wait untill they are in office,to bad there isn't a period where we can say wait we change our minds and lets let the other person take over.but once they are in thats it for 4 years.i wish politicians would stop bickering and pointing out the other persons faults and concentrate instead what they are actually going to do for the america people.(besides having their hands in our pockets and taking our hard earn cash)i know there is always a price for having who we want in office.to bad we have to suffer for their mistakes. well enough of my bickering.

the next president of the usa

its down to mr.obama and mrs clinton for the democrat and then mr.mccain for the rep.
i will be honest it is kind of scarey who will win.i still don't know enough about any of them to really know how i will vote.so much going on in the world here on the mississippi gulf coast we are still rebuilding, and next door in louisiana they are still hurting as well.then the war in iraq and the trouble in israel, and the hunt for terroist is still going on without much success.the men and women in uniform are doing a great job i know its not them.its the higher ups.north korea and iran seems they might be a threat.and how about the recall on china made stuff.the next president already has a plateful and they are not even in office yet.do we think any of them will be able to do any good on any of this or will they be overwhelmed?
i wonder how will they be able to put in plan what they want plus take care of the crisis we are already facing.i will not say president bush has not done a good job or say he has done nothing but bad for our country.its just we forget the good he has done after all the bad that has been going on the last few years.we vote and we complain.

i did not vote for him but to try to look at it from both sides of the coin, try to be positive in a negative world.mister bush i know and i realize running a country is no easy task.and i know you are pulled in all kinds of direction and i know sometimes u make decisions because it is demand of you to make.but also on the other hand is there there some things that could of been done differently or handled better. i will condemn you for it is not my place.my great grandmother always taught me to pray for our leaders in office and that i do and will.i try to look for positive things in everyone even when it is hard to do.mr.bush i wish you all the luck in what you do after your term is up,but i just ask you think about your 8 years in office and maybe teach someone down the road some of your knowledge and maybe we can avoid another war in the future. maybe be better prepared for disasters in the future here in the us.maybe teach someone to feed the poor in our country and provide better health care for our people, and how about better education so everyone can have one regardless of race, sex, or religion as well as jobs.stop worrying about the poor in other countries while our people are going hungry and sick and can't afford neither.yes help other countries but what about america? what about our sick jobless hungry people. we can't be a great country when we are down.

thank you

meeting people on the internet

here is something i have experience as well as seen since being on the internet the last several people.i have met literally hundreds of people on here in person.now do we ever think when we meet these people in person the safety of ourselves or do they meet the expectations we might have of them?do they look like the pictures we have seen of them or do they look like we imagine they would? I have been to dallas, texas,Ohio,Alabama, mississippi, and other places to meet people in person.have i been disapointed, not at all, they was just friends and we had coffee or dinner and i usually stayed in a hotel and meet with them again the next day.and some people has come here to see me and i put them in the spare bedroom.i been fortunate, never been robbed, harmed or injured in any way.yes there is alot of people who has not been to fortunate.i am sure some people like the way it is and never meet people in person.how real are people in the Internet and are they truly sincere and are they who they say they are.i have met 1 person who was not who they said they was, bogus picture with a bogus life only because they was insecure with themself.figured people would not accept them for what they really looked like. now i am no prince charming with the best looks.i am maybe average which i am sure most people might consider not a good looking man.well my wife thinks i am good looking and to me that is all that matters.yes i like meeting people, would i do it now?well as long there is several people like there was in dallas i would.we all had the same thing in common,we was all meeting there not knowing what to expect at a nice hotel which we all booked individual rooms.we met in a common area so we would be where we feel we was safe. but with sites like friendsters, myspace, yahoo, msn, pogo, gamesville anywhere there is people do we trust them enough to meet them in person.a good question for each individual to ask themself.if you feel threaten or scared or have doubts avoid that person at all cost.not everyone is what they seem.don't jump on a airplane or in a car or train to go see someone you have not known long.use common sense and make sure you don't commit yourself to something you might regret later.better be safe than sorry.the internet can be fun as well as dangerous.use it wisely.

planting time here in the south.

well another rainy stormy day followed by a warm clear evening.really not much going on other that that.i planted some african daisy as well as some pansies.my confederate roses are starting to come out of hibernation as well as my angels trumpet.hydrangeas are starting to looking healthy as well as the butterfly bushes.another 2 weeks i should be seeing on my amaryllis some flowers.they have been growing pretty fast the last month.my wisterias are starting to wake up up as well.i am looking to getting some double flower confederate roses and some rose of sharon as well.i lost a couple of my cacti through one cold snap we had but other than that they are all looking ggod so far.i am afraid of maybe to much rain but i do have pleny of sand and rocks in with my cacti garden that it should pretty much drain rather quickly.but knowing they rather have a hot sunny day over a rainy one is quite obvious. but i will be adding more cacti in the garden and fixing it where the cold next year does not affect it as much.i have to clean it up some but it will happen as it dries back up.we do need some drier weather so i can finish up with the leaves.but my work it cut out for me.i been doing what i can inbetween raindrops.i am looking forward to having quite a few beautiful plants and flowers in my yard this year.each year i add more and more and do it different every year to not get bored with the same old same.but it been an unusual warm month for us in mississippi.not that we get really cold weather here on the gulf.well i will keep u uptodate as the days goes by hopefully no unexpected cold snap anytime soon.

Ophidiophobia-the fear of snakes

Ophidiophobia or Ophiophobia refers to the fear of snakes. Fear of snakes is sometimes called by a more general term, herpetophobia, fear of reptiles. It is one of the most common phobias, especially under the broader Zoophobia (animal phobias). Care must also be taken to differentiate people who do not like snakes or fear them for their venom or the inherent danger involved. A typical ophidiophobic would not only fear them when in live contact but also dreads to think about them or even see them on TV or in pictures-(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophidiophobia)

ok i printed that and gave credit to where i got it from.but it gives the general ideal what i am talking about.

i myself don't understand the fear of snakes but of course i do have my fears of other things in my life which we won't get into.what draws me to this subject is 1 i love snakes.i have raised columbian red tail boas, ball pythons, corn snakes, milk snakes, and several others in my lifetime.this fear has gotten snakes outlawed in some cities, towns, states and countries.where other fears has not.my choice to keep a snake should be my choice not yours or anyone else.people has pit bulls, rottweiliers, german shepherds, part wolves, which has killed more people that snakes themself.but u don't see them outlawing dogs as a whole.i have nothing against dogs, but i feel if i let u have theses dogs why can't i have my snakes?

now people have several reasons to be afraid of snakes, needless to say venomous snake has not help people to like them.(snakes are not poisonious but venomous-there is a differences)not all snakes are venomous none of the snakes i have own were ever venomous nor had they hurt anyone other than me.but that was due to my stupidity.

i realize there is some people out there who do not need to own snakes or any pet at that.but they do and they do more harm to the animal and their statue of that animal to the public.snakes has been used to scare people and they have been used to describe satan and claim to be slimy and mean.

i have always try to educate people about my pets and letting them look at them and hold them.i have never ever use them to scare people or let anyone use them to scare people with.i have a strict code when it comes to my snakes,if u r afraid of them i will respect your fear and keep them put up.my 3 year old niece loves my snakes and i sit with her and let her hold them and play with them.but i keep an close eye out on them and her as well.she has never been bit or frightened of them.she saw them in the cage and fell in love with them
she asked to hold them-never once did i ever have them out when she came over untill she asked for them to come out.she has gotten attached to them(her mom and dad does not like them)imagine that.

from my personal poll i have taken and seen first hand-the females were less afraid of them then the males.i had about 20 grade school girls having their picture taken with the snakes and not one boy would come near the snakes.i don't understand why that is but it was.when i took them to the high school for my daughter and her friend report on snakes once again the girls loved them and the boy were still afraid.i don't understand why that was.but i was amazed at the results.

i will paste another site for you to check out and how this person did away with the myth and gave you facts.

blogs in general

now i will admit i love reading other people blogs.i love browsing not just here on google but on different sites as well.now i be the first to admit i know very little about blogging and really have no ideal about what is considered blogging.i know i type down my thought and share them.i have read numerous blogs and to many to count.i have gotten a lot of ideals from them but i don't use them for i feel i would be copying them and their style.so i try to feel my way around and figure out where i stand and what makes my blog appealing to the general public.well i don't have numerous pictures or have a subject which i am very well at doing.i could tell you about my 10 years in the army or how i became a disabled vet or maybe a daily blog about my snakes.well snakes unlike most animals do not have a very interesting life.like a dog or cat gets into a lot of things and do interesting things.where a snake pretty much stay curled up untill night time.i could talk about a lot of things but i try to find things that would be interesting to the normal person or average person.now it is hard to find everyone will like.for people in general like several different things in life.not one person is the same and that is what makes us all unique.but i will continue to read blogs and continue to enjoy reading them.maybe just maybe i will find where i belong and something will pull me in the right direction.untill then i will continue to get ideals and see how i fit in the schemes of things.any ideals out there i can use all the help i can i get. thank you

hurricane season

well once again we right in the middle of another season.it has been a very wet season at that.no storms as of yet.there is some disturbance out in the water but nothing to get upset about.some people think this is a mild season, well it is still early and it will start picking up by august.usually from august untill november is it the heavest for storms.every once in a while we get them early but seldom.another fourth of july has come and now about over.just to wet to do anything today.not only that i have been sick.2 weeks now.so have not been in the mood for anything.but i will try to continue to write here and try to get caught up.

drama on the internet

You know i enjoy going in game rooms to play games.pogo.com is one of my favorites.it just the drama is really ridiculous and people carrying on like someone really cares.yes i know go to another room and guess what it is there as well.now i know i can mute everyone and that solves the problem.but i like to meet people and make friends.so this leaves me stuck in the middle.i refuse to chose sides and i refuse to allow someone to chose my friends.now saying that, what do they argue about-well in one room its the regulars against the people who are in leagues.me i am not in a league but i do like some of the people who are in it.the regulars i like some of them as well.so what do u do change rooms and start over?well i thought of that and i have been in some of thoses rooms.either they won't talk to you because now you are the new person in that room and they won't talk to you.or you go to some rooms and people just don't talk-borrrrrringggggggggggggggggg.i like to talk and carry a conversation.i realize some people need to concentrate on some of theses games so chatting is difficult and some games are timed so that cuts out the chatter.i respect that and their game.but i can't respect people who wants to drag drama into theses rooms.people complain because people are nosy-well stop putting your buiness in the room and we won't know your buisness.also if u can't stand someone why come into the same room they are in and start fighting.why not go into another room untill they leave or just mute them.get over it people this is just the internet.some things are important and some things are just stupid

K.I.S.S. = keep it simple stupid.

north korea

you know of course north korea is always in the news whether we like it or not.them testing nuclear bomb should be no surprise.and of course we have pretty much ignore them and we they do say something its always something stupid.

first of all let me say this,if you have never been stationed in south korea up by the dmz wondering if the alert is just a test or are we actually under attack.I spend a year there at camp hovey while stationed in the army.some of us actually spend some time at the dmz looking across at the north koreans who hated us.

when the sirens would go off we grabbed our gear and was off we went, wether it was hot or raining or snowing and cold.not knowing if we was going to be killing or just sitting there freezing our butts off or sweating bullet.

we have been threaten and threaten by the north Koreans since the Korean war was
put at a temporary halt.the war was not won by neither side.they can go back to war at any given time without any warning.a temporary cease fire is all.all it would take is a single gunshot to start it all. or a nuclear bomb.north korea has and will always be a threat to us and our fellow soldiers.and civilians of south korea and the soldiers dependents as well.the countdown as begun just be prepared for the worse.

assassination of politics.

have you been reading or watching or listening to the news of late.one thing i have noticed is that party leaders do not agree with one another.sure i knew this all along.but it seems it has just got worse.

so no one misinterprets the title and you just glances over it-it says the assassination of politics, not politicians. politics as a whole needs to be done away with.or at least the different parties-why do we need democrats, republicans, left wing, right wing, socialist, communism, neutral, and all theses other names that seem to come along.something new every year.

I realize we are a free country and we have fought for this freedom and we have the right to basically do what we want as long as it does not break the law.(of course even the criminals has rights.)people always use the excuse of well that is what my party stands for it has from the beginning and will to the end.

sorry to bust your bubble-but when it all started it was nothing like it is today.
it has just got worse and it got to be about the money and the title you got with it.

forget about doing the job you was elected to do,spend your check,go to big parties and find ways to get your name in the press wether it is good or bad,

as for the killing of presidents, senators, congressman to me it is pure stupid and idiotic.not one one theses people have any power.the president is a figurehead, sorry mr.bush but it is all true. you have to relie on the house and the senators and the congressman.gee you don't even write your own speeches. to me its not worth the trouble, look over history, lincoln, kennedy, and the others who was just shot and lived.what did it actually change.the world went on and their ideals continue.all you did was shot a man,not his politics, not his ideals not his dreams.it did not alter history in either way.that is why you need to assassinate politics.kill the politics and we just might have a chance.of course that will take along of doing, paperwork, meetings agreements, disagreements, but in the long run no gets hurt or shot.mr.bush or any other president to me is not worth the effort since nothing comes of it accept for death sentences and jail.but the the assasssination of politics-would mean change and hopefully change for the good.

my new baby snake

this has been a very busy week-I just purchased a new snake.I will bring him home on saturday,he is a columbian red boa and is 6 months old.I bought all the set up and looking forward to having a new member of the family.I miss my other snakes and sad that they are gone, but we must go on.some people don't understand my attachment to theses wonderful creatures.some people don't think you can bond with a snake.sure I can't teach it to fetch a stick or cuddle with it on the couch.I can't take it on walks(well i can I just be the one doing all the walking.)

but there is a bonding which only other reptile lovers understand.sure its not the same way you bond with a cat or dog or even a ferret.but its something we do and that we love and no one else seem to understand.

I see people all the time trying to prohibit us from owning snakes, and I read where some cities have succeeded.I don't try to tell you to get rid of your pitbulls or rottweilers or other animals that people have.I can guarantee if I can't have my snakes i will be damn if I will let you keep your precious little dogs.so you keep out of my buisness and I will keep out of yours.let me have my snakes and you can have your pitbulls and your rottweilers, bulldogs and wolves.I will look the other way when you let them loose to roam our neighborhoods and promise I won't call the dog pound(since we do have a leash law) and have them impounded and put to sleep. you just let me have my snakes AND WE WILL GET ALONG JUST FINE.

A backwards glance

been reflecting the last 12 months.I think about the destructions, the nightmares, the water that flooded our homes, the lost of lives, the looting and the way people can change overnight.their true nature really comes out.you all thinking it is good ,sorry to disappoint you but i have never seen so many inconsiderate people in my live at one time.that includes people who you thought was your friends and family members. the looting was out of this world,it was bad enough that we had to deal with the destruction and trying to salvage what was left if anything at all, then people going through others homes or what was left of their homes and just helping yourself.people came down here with the false pretense of helping us and instead robbing us blind and taking what they considered souvenirs.I am sorry but stealing is stealing and you all know who you are should all be hanged in the town square, oops forgot we don't have one anymore, what was left people stoled, well we just beat them with our shovels and stomp their f--king head in.yes the nightmares continues and just won't go away.I don't want your pity,I just want you to keep your filthy hands off what belongs to others.everytime a hurricane comes into the gulf of mexico the nightmares begin again.maybe one day they will go away, but untill than i suffer in silences and wait it out.

1 year later

well we celebrated our 1 year anniversary of hurricane katrina here on the mississippi coast and alot of stuff was going on.memorial services, regrand opening of beau rivage and tribute to the ones we lost here on the coast.it was a somber event of what we have been through and where we are at today.boy did this year ever go by fast.and so much still left to do here on the mississippi coast.we made not get news coverage like news orleans but at least we got the help that they didn't.

for all of you who feel sorry for new orleans you all have been fooled.their levees broke when caused the flooding and the levee broke not because of the storm, but because the levee was not up to standards and termites were eating away the wood and time has also took away the levee's holding power or so to say.yes new orleans may of suffered some lost, but compare to the mississippi coast and the alabama area we both suffered the worst blunt of the storm.new orleans gets coverage because it is a city everyone knows. well regardless of the news the superdome is open once again and the mardi gras was a big success.and bourbon street is up and running, and they are still the center of the news.I just wished the jounalist and newspaper get their act together and report the news as a whole and not what they want to.I have no love lost over news people at all,how they twist stories to fit them and keeping us informed i shall give them a f- and maybe one day we will have some good ones like we use to have.

movies and television shows.

whatever happen to original ideals-I have noticed the last couple of years there has been alot of remakes at the movie theater theses days.or old tv series they decide to make into movies.miami vice, duke of hazards to name a few.it just not cut it for me.i grew up with the old type series and they putting new faces on the show/movie just doesn't make it worth watching.to me it is an insult to the oldies, maybe if they did a reunion show or made it where they was the kids of the original cast or something.to keep their names that was used in the original showing is also stupid.

at least they can give them different names for the show/movie. maybe i am just old and people my age just don't go to the movies anymore.

i will also give my kudos to the directors, writers for trying to bring them back.
I just wish maybe they will put a different twist to it.it is just not he same as the original.maybe i should try to watch theses show with a different mind set.

it is just hard to.I just hope they don't try to mess up "gone with the wind",or

some of the good old films. some shows were never meant to be remade.just keep doing the anniversary editions and i will be happy with that.

and how about something new for a chance.I think snakes on a plane will be successful for it is one of the few originals that is being made.lets just hope and pray it is so.

nothing new

good afternoon everyone, just another gloomy day here in mississippi, overcast and suppose to rain again.hear the thunder outside, working out in the yard and can't believe how quick the yard gets out of shape, all this rain we have been getting keeps me from working in the yard like I would like to.
hence the yard out of shape, this morning I was able to do some edging, well consider almost a year ago I had no yard.sine hurricane katrina washed it all away and what it didn't wash away the salt water killed it.

just another day and hopefully something exciting will happen today than again i have enjoyed the quiet day so far.well so much for the boring day eh.

see you all later.

snakes and equipment

tomorrow morning I start on my quest to buying 2 75 gallons aquarium with a screen top that i can latch down with clips,i also will have to get water bowls, heat lamps, heat pads,a place for them to hide in,branches for them to climb on,aspen chips for bedding,an UV light for during the day,and i usually buy plastic plants for them to hide in as well.
been looking forward to this for quite a while, the snakes i will get is 2 ball pythons and 1 female Colombian red tail boa.that is what i hoping to get.I won't settle for anything less. but first and foremost is getting their home set up and going so their transaction will be with as much stress free as i get them.stress will kill them,so i want to house up and running and up to the right temperature and everything.i also have to buy thermometers to set the temperature and keep it accurate.I have done all of this before and lost it all to hurricane katrina.

nothing like having to start all over again.hopefully 2 weeks from now i will have me some snakes once again.

religion

why is it everybody feel the need to tell you about their religion.whether its protestant, catholics,Muslims, zen, orthodox,Hinduism,Judaism,Bahia,Taoism,Buddhism,Shinto, shakta, sikhism, paganism and new age.to name just a few.why must their be wars in the name of our gods?

why is it people are ready to defend their religion with a sword,or a knife,or a gun,or even with a tank.

why do people get into heated arguments over which religion is the true one.whatever happen to just sitting down and with a cup of coffee or cola or whatever you drink and just discuss.do we need to bring in religion.

a few years ago there was this thing going around the country called breaking down the walls.I had the chance to attend one of their meetings.it was held at the coliseum and all different Churches attended.it was not about being a catholic,or baptist, pentecostal,or nondenominational,or white, black,Latino,Hispanic,African American,or any thing else for that matters.

it was about Jesus and praising his holy name and loving one another regardless of your skin color or what church you went to.it lasted about a year or so and people were back in the same old rutted about how their church is the only way to get to heaven.if this offends anyone maybe you need to go back and evaluate your life or just pass this post up.

this is just my opinion and you have the option whether to read this or not to read this.
now where was I.you might be asking OK what religion am I promoting or what church am i trying to get you to attend.in fact none of them.Jesus will lead you the way,He will tell you if he wants you at this church or that church.
all I here to do is proclaim the Name of Jesus.
not here to to shove it down your throat or make you believe.that's not my job to get you to believe,I just want to share Jesus with you on a personal level.

this is not about religion,or a church it is just about a man from Galilee who came to this world and spread his love to the world.his message of hope, love, and healing and much much more.read your bible,i realize their is so many different types of versions out there.i can't help you there,i like the king James version, the new king James version and the new international version.

but that what I like, anyway ,search the scriptures and search for the truth and seek it.you will find it.it will come to those who seek it.but let us get away from religion and who church is the better church.must we fight one another under the name of God.and stop arguing about whose church is the right church and can't we just join hands and pray together as one.I don't care what your race is or your color is or your creed.can't we all just join together as brothers and sisters.i realize i am just talking in the wind.I really have no doubt that anyone will read this for I am no scholar or some journalist or some famous person.I am just me who you see in the store or on the streets or in a restaurant or i am the one that fixed your food or the person who delivered it to your table,or maybe the one you almost ran down when i was crossing the street and you refused to stop at that red light.

maybe i am the one you just cut off in traffic cause you were in a hurry and didn't care that i had kids in my car and caused me to swerve and run off the road and my kids were hurt.

maybe you are the one who came into my store and shoplifted something you really didn't need just to see if you could get away with it.

just maybe i was the one who was hungry and asked you for some food,or maybe even a drink of water and you just laughed at me and told me to get lost.

maybe i am one of the many who lost their home to hurricane Katrina and you sat back and said oh well that is what you get for living on the coast.

i pray that wherever you live and if you lose someone or something that someone doesn't say well if they only didn't drink and drive,or only if they didn't smoked,or only if they didn't live in tornado alley or only they didn't live on a fault line or they lived where there is snow and your roof caved in because of the weight of the snow.
oh well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 years later

reading the most recent news about the horrible death of jonbenet ramsey.a john mark karr confessed he killed her and it was an accident.but it happened while he was sexually assaulting her.in the mean time his ex-wife Lara karr say she was with him in Alabama at the time jonbenet was killed.gee boulder, colorado to Alabama to Thailand.

now who is telling the truth.him or his ex.wife-and of course patsy Ramsey did not live to see this.I can't believe it took 10 years to maybe actually find someone who killed this poor little girl.and i wonder how much longer we have to wait before we really know if this is actually the killer or just someone who just wants his 15 minutes of fame.i really doubt we will ever really know who killed this little girl and after 10 years most people are saying jonbenet who?

is there hope for other crimes like this to be solved or will it also take as long to find a killer.I really do pray that whoever did this will eventually have to face someone for this crime whether here or the hereafter.

now how about the murder of Natalee Holloway-will we see the crime solved in our lifetime-will it also take 10 years, will the parents live to see the killers bought to justics, will the body of ms.holloway ever be discovered.is she dead or is she alive?

some think she was sold to traders to sell her as a sex slave.i realize that is a horrible thing to say,but needless to say theses things happens everyday, even here in the USA.my heart goes out to theses families as well as my prayers.hopefully justice will prevail in the end.but i won't hold my breath.

Stories About Drinking & Driving

I hurried into the local department store to grab some last minute Christmas gifts. I looked at all the people and grumbled to myself. I would be in here forever and I just had so much to do. Christmas was beginning to become such a drag. I kinda wished that I could just sleep through Christmas. But I hurried the best I could through all the people to the toy department. Once again I kind of mumbled to myself at the prices of all these toys, and wondered if the grandkids would even play with them. I found myself in the doll aisle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a little boy about five years old holding a lovely doll. He kept touching her hair and he held her so gently. I could not seem to help myself. I just kept looking over at the little boy and wondered who the doll was for. I watched him turn to a woman and he called his aunt by name and said, "Are you sure I don't have enough money?" She replied a bit impatiently, "You know that you don't have enough money for it." The aunt told the little boy not to go anywhere that she had to go get some other things and would be back in a few minutes. And then she left the aisle. The boy continued to hold the doll. After a bit I asked the boy who the doll was for. He said, "It is the doll my sister wanted so badly for Christmas. She just knew that Santa would bring it." I told him that maybe Santa was going to bring it. He said "No Santa can't go where my sister is...I have to give the doll to my Mamma to take to her." I asked him where his sister was. He looked at me with the saddest eyes and said "She has gone to be with Jesus. My Daddy says that Mama is going to have to go to be with her. My heart nearly stopped beating. Then the boy looked at me again and said, "I told my Daddy to tell Mama not to go yet. I told him to tell her to wait till I got back from the store." Then he asked me if I wanted to see his picture. I told him I would love to. He pulled out some pictures he'd had taken at the front of the store. He said "I want my Mamma to take this with her so she don't ever forget me. I love my Mama so very much and I wish she did not have to leave me. But Daddy says she will need to be with my sister." I saw that the little boy had lowered his head and had grown so very quiet. While he was not looking I reached into my purse and pulled out a handful of bills. I asked the little boy, "Shall we count that money one more time?" He grew excited and said "Yes, I just know it has to be enough".So I slipped my money in with his and we began to count it. Of course it was plenty for the doll. He softly said, "Thank you Jesus, for giving me enough money." Then the boy said, "I just asked Jesus to give me enough money to buy this doll so Mama can take it with her to give to my sister. And he heard my prayer. I wanted to ask him for enough to buy my Mama a white rose, but I didn't ask him, but he gave me enough to buy the doll and a rose for my Mama. "She loves white roses so very, very much," In a few minutes the aunt came back and I wheeled my cart away. I could not keep from thinking about the little boy as I finished my shopping in a totally different spirit than when I had started. And I kept remembering a story I had seen in the newspaper several days earlier about a drunk driver hitting a car and killing a little girl and the Mother was in serious condition. The family was deciding on whether to remove the life support. Now surely this little boy did not belong with that story. Two days later read in the paper where the family had disconnected the life support and the young woman had died. I could not forget the little boy and just kept wondering if the two were somehow connected. Later that day, I could not help myself and I went out and bought some white roses and took them to the funeral home where the young woman was. There she was holding a lovely white rose, the beautiful doll, and the picture of the little boy in the store. I left there in tears, my life changed forever. The love that little boy had for his little sister and his mother was overwhelming. And in a split second a drunk driver had ripped the life of that little boy to pieces.

Stops for no reason or turn abruptly or illegally.
Signals inconsistently or drives at night with no headlights.
Remember, drunk drivers are dangerous and my not be avoidable. If you suspect someone is driving drunk, keep your distance, jot down the license plate number and call the authorities.

Close to the door he paused to stand

Close to the door he paused to stand,
As he took his class ring off her hand.
All who were watching did not speak,
As a silent tear ran down his cheek.
And through his mind the memories ran,
Of the moments they walked and laughed in the sand,
But now her eyes were so terrible cold,
For he would never again have her to hold.
They watched in silence as he bent near,
And whispered the words..."I LOVE YOU" in her ear.
He touched her face and started to cry,
As he put on his ring and wanted to die.
And just then the wind began to blow,As they lowered her casket into the snow.
This is what happens to man alive,
When friends let friends drink and drive.

I Went to a Party Mom

"I went to a party, Mom"I went to a party, and remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom
so I had a sprite instead.I felt proud of myself, the way you said I would, that I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice, and your advice to me was right
as the party finally ended, and the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car, sure to get home in one piece,I never knew what was coming, Mom
something I expected least.
Now I'm lying on the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,"The kid that caused this wreck was
drunk,"Mom, His voice seems far away.
My own blood's all around me,as I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,"This girl is going to die."I'm sure the guy had no idea, while he was flying high,
because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die.
So why do people do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,like a hundred stabbing knives.
Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
tell daddy to be brave, and when I go to heaven,
put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have taught him, that its wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,I'd still be alive. My breath is getting shorter, MomI'm getting really scared. These are my final moments, and I'm so unprepared.I wish that you could hold me Mom,as I lie here and die.I wish that I could say I love you, MomSo I love you and good-bye.

Letter from Kathie Drinkwater (nee Wilson) 4/17/05:
Hello everyone,I just read with interest the poem "I went to a party". I would just like to let you know that I am the author of this poem, and I wrote it in an English class in the mid 1980's at Solway College in New Zealand. The teacher at the time was rather taken with it, and I never thought much about it again until I heard it come over the radio a few years ago, and then started to circulate the internet. I have been unable to contact the teacher concerned to ask her how this all came about. A few of the terms in it have been changed to suit the American way of speech compared to how it was originally written. Nice to see it still going strong all these years later! :-)Kind regards,Kathie Drinkwater (nee Wilson)New Zealand

Funny-The Worst

THE WORST HIJACKINGWe shall never know the identity of the man who in 1976 made the most unsuccessful hijack attempt ever. On a flight across America, he rose from his seat, drew gun and took the stewardess hostage. "Take me to Detroit," he demanded. "We're already going to Detroit," she replied. "Oh ... good," he said, and sat down again.

THE WORST BANK ROBBERYIn August 1975 three men were on their way in to rob the Royal Bank of Scotland at Rothesay, when they got stuck in the revolving doors. They had to be helped free by the staff and, after thanking everyone, sheepishly left the building. A few minutes later they returned and announced their intention of robbing the bank, but none of the staff believed them. When they demanded 5,000 pounds in cash, the head cashier laughed at them, convinced that it was a practical joke. Then one of the men jumped over the counter, but fell to the floor clutching his ankle. The other two tried to make their getaway, but got trapped in the revolving doors again.

THE WORST ANIMAL RESCUEDuring the firemen's strike of1978, the British Army had taken over emergency fire fighting and on 14 January they were called out by an elderly lady in South London to retrieve her cat which had become trapped up a tree. They arrived with impressive haste and soon discharged their duty. So grateful was the lady that she invited them all in for tea. Driving off later, with fond farewells completed, they ran over the cat and killed it!!

THE WORST INSURANCE This is the best lawyer story of the year, decade, and probably the century. A Charlotte, NC, lawyer purchased a box of very rare andexpensive cigars,: then insured them against fire among other things. Within a month having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued .. and won! In delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The Judge stated, nevertheless, that the lawyerheld a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unaccep table fire, and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."

NOW FOR THE BEST PART...After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine. This is a true story and was the 1st place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest.

Wrong email address

Lesson to be learned from typing the wrong email address

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel plans. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My loving wife
Subject: I've arrived Date: April 6, 2006
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then. Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
P.S. sure is freaking hot down here!!!!!

Where to bury mother-in-law

Heres a joke emailed to me just this morning:

A man, his wife, and his mother-in-law went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there the mother-in-law passed away.
The undertaker told them, You can have her shipped home for £5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for £150.
The man thought about it and told the undertaker that he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, Why would you spend £5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only £150.
The man replied, A long time ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later He rose from the deadI just cant take that chance.

The Parrot

Wandas dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman.
Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, Ill leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and Ill mail you a check.
Oh, by the way dont worry about my bulldog. He wont bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot! I REPEAT, DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!
When the repairman arrived at Wandas apartment the following day, he discovered the biggest, meanest looking bulldog he has ever seen. But, just as she had said, the dog just lay there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.
The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing and name calling. Finally the repairman couldnt contain himself any longer and yelled, Shut up, you stupid, ugly bird!
To which the parrot replied, Get him, Spike!

The philosophy of Charles Schultz

The philosophy of Charles Schultz
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip.
You dont have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through and youll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.6. Name the last decades worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Heres another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you.
Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.

rain

it has been so wet here in Mississippi.it has been driving me crazy. on wednesday we recieved 4 to 5 inches of rain.yes everything was getting flooded. all I could think of was a flashback of hurricane katrina.we just got our house finish and i was watching this water slowly rising.all i could do was watch it,but thank God it did not rise very high, even though the streets and my yard was flooded.
I pray one day when it rains like that that I don't keep thinking about hurricane katriana.yes i guess you can say i still have nightmares.and i have a feeling i always will untill the day i die. oh well live goes on.

hurricane katrina

hurricane katrina to all of us who had the bad luck of being in and surviving all have stories.each person suffered some personal disaster of some kind.

some lost loved ones, homes, personal property and many others.for some the nightmares has only begun and people like me has had nothing but nightmares.yes i am thankful i lost no one.but i lost my sanity, some memories that can never be replaced.all i hear is it is all replaceable and people lives are not. I agree but to the personal property i will never regain any of it.it does not exist anymore, can't run to the local or nearest store to replace it. I only have whats left of my life which i am thankful for.yes i have my wife and kids.my kids suffered as well-they still go to the same school but alot of their friends has moved away.my daughter graduated and it was the worst time for her.what a way to start a senior year right after a major hurricane that kept them out of school for several weeks.but graduated she did.her life is still upside down.

I can't undo what hurricane katrina did,i have lived through volcanos, typhoons, twisters, earthquakes and other hurricanes.but this is the one that left the biggest scar.one that will never completely heal.so for people who get mad with the tee shirts that say I survived hurricane katrina-untill you walk a mile in their shoes stop complaining.if i could find one my size i would wear it proudly cause i did survive hurricane katrina.

MIA

so sorry for my very long absences.i was recovering from hurricane katrina as well as the rest of the mississippi coast.we recieved 12 feet of water in our house.so our house was completed gutted.so we had to get money and supplies and slowly started to rebuilt.well from august 29,2005 to november 15,2005 we were bounced from home to home until fema got us a trailor.4 of us fit in a small tiny enclosure.at the mean time we was working on our 1 year old home.(our house was 1 years old when it was destroyed)last week(july 26,2006)our house is completely finished including furniture.of course we moved back in our house back in april.

i am still new to this blogging stuff and being absent has not helped at all.hopefully i can get back into the groove of things soon enough.
